Accredited Construction Details - Part L

This information is usually required as part of the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) audit / confirmation process for new build dwellings.
SJI Designs Ltd will require confirmation of ACD's when undertaking and providing EPC's for new dwellings (if used).

Building Regulations
Building regulations, which are made under powers provided in the Building Act 1984 and apply in England and Wales, are mainly found in The Building Regulations 2000 (as amended) and The Building (Approved Inspectors) Regulations 2000 (as amended). The legislation covers both the technical standards that need to be met and the procedures that need to be followed.

Turton Building Control Ltd
Turton Building Control Limited is licensed as a Corporate Approved Inspector by the government via the Construction Industry Council to undertake the role of Building Control Body with respect to Building Regulation approvals under the Building Act 1984.
Turton Building Control Ltd (along with other approved inspectors) can be used as an alternative to local authority building control.
Local Authority Building Control
Local authority building control can also be used as an alternative to an approved inspector.
SJI Designs Ltd will work closely with the appointed building control body in obtaining approval for your project.
Innovation Fire Engineering Ltd
Innovation Fire Engineering specialises in providing fire safety engineering. They deliver state of the art fire engineering services to overcome fire constraints throughout the building process in England and Wales.
Some projects may require a fire engineered design due to the complexity of the project or clients requirements.
SJI Designs Ltd will work closely with all appointed specialists (if required) during the design and approval stages. Full fire layouts can be provided for building regulation applications and consultations with the local fire authority.
